Supportive Therapies

At Childs Chiropractic we sometimes recommend supportive therapies that will compliment your chiropractic care.

Digital Infrared Imaging

Digital Infrared Imaging measures muscle activity and temperature (screens for possible subluxations and nerve irritation.)

  • Thermography measures temperature differences on either side of the spine within a hundredth of a degree.
  • sEMG (surface electromyography) measures muscle activity along the entire spine.

X-rays

We perform all x-rays in our office. This removes the need to send x-rays to another facility for developing, thus reducing your cost.

Inferferential Electrical Muscle Stimulation and EMS

Inferential Electrical Muscle Stimulation is beneficial for pain relief, reduce inflammation and muscle spasms.

Inter-Segmental Traction Table

The Inter-segmental traction table gently stretches and elongates the spine, reducing pain and swelling. Childs Chiropractic also provides Mechanical Traction

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy uses low radiation to promote cell regeneration in order to heal soft issue wounds and symptoms as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Dr. Chuck Asks some important questions of interest to Norman residents - Chiropractor Norman Dr. Chuck Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Where do most Norman residents get their first vertebral subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of vertebral subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Norman newborn.
