What to Expect

You will immediately feel at home the moment you walk in the door.

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!

Health Analysis

At Childs Chiropractic Wellness Center, your care begins with a total health analysis.  Because our goal is to restore your good health, we will ask questions during your consultation about your lifestyle including stress, nutrition, work and sleep habits. Good health comes from a healthy lifestyle and proper spinal function.

State of the Art Assessment

Dr. Childs will carefully assess each patient by utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures.  Dr. Childs is trained in x-ray techniques and in order to make an accurate diagnosis he may ask for an x-ray of your back and neck.  Only after this initial examination will Dr. Childs offer a recommended course of treatment.  Based on the analysis of your initial examination, your treatment could consist of chiropractic adjustments, therapies and rehabilitation.

The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.

So, check us out here. Poke around. Get to know us. Then, contact us to make an appointment so we can get to know you.

  • First Visit. To find out if we can help you, we ask questions and listen.

  • Second Visit. We’ll report what we found and answer all your questions.

  • Regular Visit. A typical visit will be much shorter, but just as important!

Dr. Chuck Asks some important questions of interest to Norman residents - Chiropractor Norman Dr. Chuck Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Where do most Norman residents get their first vertebral subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of vertebral subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Norman newborn.
